| Welcome to the vast real estate of my mind. First, I'd like to take a moment to express a word of thanks to my family. Without their extraordinary support and love I would not have been able to complete this project so swiftly. Even as I sit here and work on this website, they are so generously giving up time with 'mom' so I can focus on one of my many other titles. Second, I'd like to thank my friends for their words of encouragement, their brilliant creative souls and random phone calls just to make sure I am keeping it together. Each of you have given me so much love, inspiration, and laughter. I am truly blessed to find myself surrounded by such outstanding individuals. Third, to my fans. (All five of them!) I hope anyone who picks up my book feels a connection to the characters on the pages. I hope you can hear their voices, taste their tears, and feel their emotion. Because if you do, you are directly feeling a part of me. Lastly, I'd like to say a word to all aspiring writers. You can do it. If I can do it, I know you can as well. No, it's not easy. Yes, it is work. If you want it, if you feel that writing is not what you do, but who you are, then you can do it. You just need to take that first step. And trust me, it's a leap. But once you do it, you'll find your feet on solid ground, and you will realize you can't ever go back. Even if you don't believe in yourself, I believe in you. Promise. D VonThaer P.S. There's a reason I decided to launch this site on July 4th. Let this be YOUR Independence Day. On this day, remove those shackles that you've placed on yourself, and do what it is that your heart cries to do. WRITE! Be it a sentence, a letter, or a poem to your dog, WRITE WRITE WRITE. I'll accept no excuses. With everything this country is going through, let this be the time you do what you've longed to do since you scribbled your first ode to grass and dirt. I GUARANTEE you, I've been where you are, in some aspect. The only person holding you back is YOU. I started B.A.S.E.D. Press not just for me, but for people like you, the creative minds looking for a home. I'll give you a roof, but you have to pack and move in yourself! Come on, and claim your independence! |

| National Novel Writing Month! For the month of November, I'm participating in NaNoWriMo, attempting 50,000 words in 30 days.
